My name is Hillson Ghimire and I am a geospatial & satellite data engineer 🛰️. I employ array of geospatial technologies, including but not limited to earth observation 🌎 and geospatial data science 🐉, to address applications like natural resource and disaster risk management.
Currently, I am a Researcher at the Geospatial Sciences Center of Excellence, SDSU, where I lead AI-driven projects in agricultural monitoring and production forecasting. My current research integrates ground, aerial, and satellite-based multiscale and multimodal remote sensing data through state-of-the-art data fusion techniques to create scalable solutions for precision agriculture.

Other that that, I’m low-key addicted to sprinting 🏃♂️ like I’m being chased by a swarm of bees 🐝, getting downright giddy 💫 when I spot mountains ⛰️, and fantasizing about me being the next mountain goat 🐐.
