My name is Hillson Ghimire and I am a geospatial & satellite data engineer 🛰️. I employ array of geospatial technologies, including but not limited to earth observation 🌎 and geospatial data science 🐉, to address applications like natural resource and disaster risk management.

Originally from Nepal, Geoinformatics has taken me places:

• 2021- now - Research Associate at Geoinformatics Center, AIT
• 2020-2021 - Geospatial Intern at SkyTruth
• 2016-2021 - Bachelors’ of Engineering in Geomatics Engineering at IOE, Tribhuvan University
• 2014-2016 - High School at Kathmandu Model College (Physics, Biology, Maths Major)

Other that that, I’m low-key addicted to sprinting 🏃‍♂️ like I’m being chased by a swarm of bees 🐝, getting downright giddy 💫 when I spot mountains ⛰️, and fantasizing about me being the next mountain goat 🐐.
